At noon on May 17th, the hematopoietic stem cell sampling activity with the theme of Love and Marrow Brighten Youth and Relay Life with Glory organized by the School of Foreign Languages and Cultural Communication successfully carried out in No.3 Building. Zhao Guoqiang from Shanghai Red Cross Association, Zong Yin from Pudong Red Cross Association, and medical staff from Shanghai Blood Center and Shanghai Seventh People's Hospital participated in this sampling activity. After 3 hours of uninterrupted sampling, by 3:00 pm, a total of 325 students had successfully joined the hematopoietic stem cell database. In the volunteer service to practice the mission of youth, in the love and dedication to pass the hope of life, the students of Er Gong University with practical actions to show the style and responsibility of the youth of the new era.

Volunteer service is the main way of practical education in colleges and universities, and an important carrier for comprehensive reform of three-round education. Since the establishment of the hematopoietic stem cell volunteer service team in 2005, it has been highly valued by the leaders at all levels of the university, the Logistics and Security Office, the Department of Academic Engineering, and the Youth League Committee of the university. Up to now, more than 6,000 teachers and students have joined the China Hematopoietic Stem Cell Donor Database, with a total of 12 successful matches and 12 successful donations in the past 18 years. The university has been honored with a number of titles such as Shanghai Advanced Group for Hematopoietic Stem Cell Donation, Shanghai Advanced Group for Hematopoietic Stem Cell Donation and Excellent Red Cross Volunteer Service in Shanghai Colleges and Universities, which fully demonstrated the noble sentiments and the spirit of love of the students of the university.

     On the day of collection, in order to ensure the smooth completion of the collection work, students of the College of Foreign Languages and Cultures hematopoietic stem cell volunteer service team came to the collection site early to set up the sampling site. After the start of the sampling activity, students received forms to fill in information, waited for the sampling according to the order, and received honorary certificates upon the completion of the sampling. Each link was carried out in an orderly manner with the help of volunteers. Students also in the volunteer service unity and cooperation, selfless dedication, strengthened their sense of responsibility and mission to bear.
