On September 13, 2022, the Institute of Foreign Language Teaching Materials of Shanghai International Studies University announced the list of "2022 Foreign Language Teaching Materials Research Projects" and the list of project leaders. After four steps of strict evaluation, including qualification examination, preliminary examination, conference evaluation and review and approval, the project"Research on the Integration and Presentation of Chinese Culture inForeign Language Teaching Materials of Colleges and Universities - Taking New Thought English Language and Literature Series Teaching Materials as an Example" declared by Ms. Zhao Yan of SISU has been approved to be a key project.

The "Research onForeign Language Teaching Materials in 2022" program is composed of key projects, general projects and youth projects. The scope of the projects coversa wide range of fields, such as research on the integration and presentation of Chinese culture in foreign language teaching materials, research on the theory of foreign language teaching materials, research on the use of foreign language teaching materials, research on the construction of hybrid teaching materials, and research on foreign language teaching materials based on corpus. The key project declared by Ms. Zhao Yan is based on the series of textbooks for English Language and Literature majors of the New Way of Thinking, which is to crawl and explore the integration and presentation of Chinese culture inforeign language teaching materials of colleges and universities, and closely follows the concept of top-level design of foreign language teaching materials of the country, which makes a new thinking and exploration of compilation offoreign language teaching materials of colleges and universities.
