College of Foreign Languages andCultures Holds Alumni Symposium to Welcome School Day

On September 27th, the eve of School ofForeign Languages and Cultural Communication invited some alumni back to the School to talk about the friendship between teachers and students and discuss the development plan. The Secretary of the Party Committee of the College, Mr.Gu Xiankai, the Heads of relevant majors and key teachers attended the seminar.

On behalf of the College, Mr. GuXiankai warmly welcomed the alumni home and thanked them for their concern and support for the construction and development of the College and the University.He informed the alumni of the key work carried out and the results achieved by the College in recent years in the optimization of disciplines and specialties, the improvement of the quality of talent cultivation, and social services, and also analyzed the difficulties and challenges faced by the College under the newsituation. He said that alumni is a valuable wealth and an important force topromote the sustainable development of the college, the college is happy for every bit of progress made by alumni in their career and life, and hopes that alumni will continue to care about the development of the college and supportthe construction of academic disciplines and specialties, talent cultivationand students' employment, and that the college will rely on the platforms ofthe alumni association and other platforms to provide alumni with the helpwithin their capacity.

During the symposium, the alumni fondlyrecalled their college life, revisited the deep friendship with teachers oftheir alma mater, thanked their alma mater and teachers for their cultivation,and rejoiced at the rapid development of the school in recent years. Regardingthe development of the college, the alumni have combined the actual work oftheir respective work, with the perspective of the front-line workplace, put forward a lot of valuable suggestions and opinions. They suggested that thecollege should strengthen the cultivation of composite and innovative students,enhance the empowerment of new technologies such as artificial intelligence toliberal arts students, provide more practice opportunities aimed at cultivatingstudents' communication and teamwork abilities, and expressed their willingnessto make their own contribution to the development of their alma mater and theCollege of Foreign Languages and Literatures.
